Cooking My Way Through...

There is no time like now to start a new challenge. For me, that is to cook my way through as many of the recipes as I can in The Complete Southern Cookbook by Tammy Algood. There are more than 800 recipes in this cookbook. Some are very familiar to me, while others remain a good old challenge. There are certain sections that I will be skipping because of food allergies - I can't very well cook with pecans or walnuts when I can't even touch them - or because of food preferences - what's the point of cooking a section of catfish when I don't enjoy it? I realize that this may be considered "blasphemous" to some, and to those who feel that way I am truly sorry. On top of cooking as many of these recipes as I can, I will also be doing my best to cook seasonally. I live in South Carolina, so that is the seasonal chart I will be utilizing.

There are 81 different categories. I will be utilizing the labels feature to help you, my readers, find the appropriate section. I will not be posting the recipes, as I am working solely from a copyrighted book. I have no idea how this blog will turn out, or how long it will take to complete. I'm expecting this to be a 2 year project.

I hope you enjoy whatever this project/challenge/blog becomes. Please leave feedback. Please let me know what you like, what you want more of, what you want less of, or any other feelings you have.

Happy eating, y'all!
